About Olga

I am Olga Garcia. My mother tongue is Spanish, I studied first English as a foreign language from primary school up to university. As a college student , I decided to study French because I wanted to travel to a French speaking country. At the end of my university studies I decided to travel to Canada, Ontario and Quebec. Then I realized, I could be able to communicate in English-French and I did it! My goal: to continue my Masters Degree in French. Some years later, I came back to study my PhD at Laval Uiniversity in Quebec city. Then, I became a canadian citizen and stayed with my children in Canada. I am working as an interpreter, translator and as a Spanish and French teacher for children and adults. I love my work because through it I can develop my creativity and imagination.

Teaching Expertise

I studied at Lycée-Franco Mexicain in Mexico city. That is why I decided to become a French teacher, first I worked at the University and later with young learners at college. I have also taught Spanish as a second language with international students who stayed in summer camps in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. I have been living in Quebec city for 18 years now. Here I teach French and Spanish for different groups. I enjoy my work because I like to exchange, and create with my students.

- Teacher of French Diploma from the UNAM DESS ( Diplôme d'études supérieures spécialisées ( La Sorbonne II) PhD in Lingustics from Laval University in Quebec
