As a teacher I feel that it is essential to establish a Code of conduct in the classroom and provide a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. I foster the establishment of good relationships with students, putting them at ease and encouraging their participation. From my experience, I have found that it is important to demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching, learning and sharing the knowledge, with well organised and conducted lessons. Additionally, I link my expectations to students in a calm manner and give them constructive and positive feedback in order to develop students’ confidence and trust. I feel it is significant that my planned lessons help students feel safe to participate through the meaningful verbal feedback.
