About Elena

Straight from college I was offered a position a position at the Modern Languages Department. So I started my career as a language teacher. I also did some freelance translation, including fiction translation. For some time I worked as a full time translator in an international trading company in Moscow. Some of the expats I used to work with asked me about Russian language classes and that were my first steps in teaching Russia as a foreign language. Then in Pushkin Institute I got some a course in methodology of foreign language teaching. For some time I worked in Finland where I taught Russian for foreigners. I have developed a remote course in teaching methodology for Russian Center of Moscow State University and I still teach there part-time.

Teaching Expertise

15 years of teaching English and Russian at various colleges in Moscow: Pushkin State Russian language Institute, Moscow City University, Moscow Institute of Linguistics.
