I've been teaching Japanese people English for more than 2 years as a freelancer, and I've had some amazing feedback from them. They've said that I'm a fantastic and encouraging teacher to work with.
If I'm teaching Japanese people English the first thing I would do is tell them to stop translating English to Japanese, because I tend to find that trying to speak like a native is way more effective than translating it back to your language. I would help them to pronounce different words in everyday life and help to understand different meanings in a sentence. When I teach people English I teach it the most fun, interesting, and inspiring way possible as I believe that you succeed a lot more whilst having fun learning a language rather than just acting like a robot telling them to read textbooks and learn paragraphs. I teach people with passion excitement and inspiration. I've had amazing feedback from teaching Japanese people for more than 2 years. They have all enjoyed learning.
