About Kirsty

I am a dedicated ESL, English Language and Literature tutor. I have experience teaching English online to students across the world. I deliver grammar lessons using the Present, Produce and Practice method , whilst eliciting vocabulary. I ensure I’m teaching the meaning, form and pronunciation for any new target language. I’m able to assess learners needs and implement activities to ensure students are not only receiving the target language through reading and listening but also producing the target language through writing and speaking. I'm a British native and worked within BBC radio for many years where I received voice training to ensure engaging intonation and pronunciation when speaking. As result, I speak with a neutral accent and know how to use my voice to engage people.

Teaching Expertise

I have lots of experience teaching one to one, small groups and large groups of students of all ages, covering topics such as phonics, culture, business and conversational skills. I've been teaching for 15 years, some of these years in areas other language. I've taught in many settings; primary, secondary, further education, community education and online! I'm able to make assessments of your language needs and develop a curriculum to suit your level and ensure progression.
