About Gita

I started teaching Bahasa for foreign exchange students in 2018 when I worked as a research and teaching assistant for my lecturer. The foreign exchange students were from Dutch and Gambia. At first, I spoke English to them, because I think that they will not understand at all if I use Bahasa. But then, I got used to them speaking Bahasa during the class. Though they spoke haltingly and often mix it up with English words, I always help them spell the words and construct the sentences. Slowly, they can speak for daily conversation well with simple words and sentences. The lesson I taught back then was about daily conversation and basic vocabulary (greetings, time, directions, numbers, etc). I organize the learning materials based on the standard syllabus and the levels of learning.
