About Monika

I am half Russian, half Japanese and have lived in both countries, before moving to England when I was 15. I speak both languages at home :) I have more free time, so decided to go back to teaching. I know learning another language can sometimes be difficult, especially if you are working full time. I try to tailor my lessons around the students so they have fun while learning :) Some students prefer to have a casual conversation in a chosen language, while they ask me to correct their grammar. While others learn Japanese to read their favourite comics, which can translate together! It's all up to YOU :) Thank you!

Teaching Expertise

I started teaching languages when I was in high school as a part-time job. I taught for about 3 years until I went to live in Germany, so had to stop as I didn't have enough time. I am back now as I have more free time.

- BA Hons in Russian- 2014

- Native Russian speaker ( Russia born, speak to mum in Russian) Fluent Japanese Speaker ( lived in Tokyo for 12 years, speak to dad in Japanese)

- A-Level Russian and Japanese
