I am very happy :) to know that you are interested in learning Portuguese language and Brazilian Culture. And more excited that you came to talk to me! Thinking about the coming months of 2023, I have prepared a personalized course for you, where you will be able to communicate easily in Portuguese to travel, visit tourist attractions in Portuguese-speaking countries, set up work meetings, meet new people and make friends, in other words, be linguistically independent. The method I use is the intercultural communicative approach. With this it is possible to learn in a creative, fun and very dynamic way. Making use of virtual tools and didactic resources such as videos, games, applications and music, classes are assembled to suit you in a personalized way.

Teaching Expertise

My name is Mariana Canuto, and currently I am a researcher for the Center of Afro-Latin American Studies at Harvard University (Afro-Latin American Research Institute at the Hutchins Center). I have been a Professor of Portuguese as a foreign language at Torre de Babel Idiomas for almost 3 years (Torre de babel - Idiomas e Culturas). My academic background has always been based on valuing diversity and celebrating differences with positivity.
