About Maria

Ciao! I am Gaby, your Italian teacher. I was born and raised in Italy. For the past 20 years I have lived between Italy, Japan and the U.S. where I have taught Italian in private, business, and school settings. From teenagers to seniors, I have been honored to be able to share my love for the Italian Language, culture, food and lifestyle. Over 14 years of experience have given me the ability to make a lesson FUN: while learning grammar, pronunciation, idioms and the cultural aspects of the Italian Language, we will share recipes, play games (e.g. Tombola during Christmas), speak about singers, pretend to be in Italy experiencing various situations and read the latest news! No matter what level you are from beginner to advanced to business/casual conversation “il divertimento e’ garantito!"

Teaching Expertise

Groups, private: ELEMENTARY - Basic grammar, pronunciation, idioms, cultural aspects of the Italian Language, practice speaking, reading and writing. INTERMEDIATE- Continue to learn with emphasis grammar, pronunciation, idioms, the cultural aspects of the Italian Language, while speaking, reading and writing. ADVANCED - While fluent in the conversation, structured in writing and phonetically impeccable continue to improve and master all aspects of the Language and culture.
