About Shayna

I am a 27-year-old American with a passion for helping people learn English! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Comparative Literature and a Master's Degree in Ethnographic and Documentary Film. I have struggled to learn new languages, so I know how valuable it is to have a patient and accessible tutor. I have experience working in a wide range of tutoring environments; everything from helping write academic papers and preparing for interviews to practicing one's conversational skills, or simply reviewing the basics. Teaching Expertise

I have been working as a freelance photographer and videographer for the past seven years. With a range of experience from working on music video sets to directing my own documentaries, I have worked on a wide range of productions. I have also worked as a researcher for an autobiography written by a Holocaust survivor. To supplement my income, I have taught English and Math to students ranging from ages 3 to 17. I have taught English both in person, in Vietnam, and online.
