About Regie

My class starts by brainstorming with the students to know the level of understanding in English. TEACHING LEVEL 0 or low-level learners focus on phonics and word practice. USE: Effective lead-in thru visuals, drawings, and realia, creative drilling, and practices, give examples of the word and how to use them in simple sentences, and most of all make gestures and TPR. FOR ADVANCE STUDENTS: Elicitation Theory is a technique I use to extract information about my students. I want to know what the student may or may not know, and what the student has learned or hasn’t learned well. I go beyond simply explaining, diagramming, translating, grading, and informing. I want to share, on an almost daily basis, the many tools available for learning.

Teaching Expertise

Upon completing a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication degree at Pilgrim Christian University as Cum Laude in 2006, I decided to teach English in the school where I finished my degree. Also, I worked in the mass media for 10 years. I’ve been teaching young learners of different ages and levels for 5 years now and I can understand the difficulties that most ESL learners are facing. I also teach Business English Class, Travel English, Classic English, and IELTS class.
