About Jose

I am a very easy person to get along with, so I do not come off as a very strict person when it comes to learning. Yes, I have strong working ethics and give it all I have when it comes to teaching English. Yet, I also make the experience a fun one at that. My experience teaching English as a language and literature runs about 12 years. I taught at two major high schools in Los Angeles (Gardena High and Hollywood High). So, students that choose me will get their money's worth since I am an educator with a vast background when teaching English. I am also a huge speaker of Spanish. I grew up in Argentina when I was a child, so my Spanish is very fluent. When it comes to Spanish though, I can only teach conversational. Anyway, my experience in teaching a language is quite an experience!

3/01/00 – 6/15/10 ENGLISH TEACHER, LOS ANGELES UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT Jose taught English Literature and English as a Second Language at the secondary level. Also, had a chance to teach Life Skills for a few semesters and coached Girls’ JV Soccer at Gardena High School and Hollywood High. 9/11 - 6/12 Worked as a Language Arts substitute teacher at various schools for different programs at charter high schools. Also, taught for private ESL programs at Occidental College and UCLA.

Jose's Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in English Literature from the California State University of Northridge. Teaching Credential from the California State University of Dominguez Hills.
