About Guendalina

Hi my dear students! I am an enthusiastic language teacher and learner. As I love travelling and getting to know other cultures, I am very interested in languages and the way people from different cultural backgrounds learn a language. My lessons are rigorous and very structured so that my students can learn grammar easily and feel at ease when they start to have a conversation or write in their chosen foreign language; however, I leave plenty of time and room for fun, by using different materials to enrich our vocabulary and learn every aspect of the language and culture. I often use songs and movies, comics, and even ask my students to act a text with me.

Teaching Expertise

Enthusiastic about every aspect of Hellenic culture and language, in January 2008 I moved to Greece, where I soon started teaching Classics and Italian at all levels in two private schools. At the same time, I was teaching Italian language and culture, and Modern Greek as a second language to adults. In 2014-2016 I taught Classics in the UK both at University and school level; in 2017 I taught in Hong Kong and 2018-2020 in mainland China. Since September 2020 I have taught online.
