About Maria

I am Maria a 20-year-old Psychology student. I am Bilingual in Dutch and English. I have a TEFL & TEYL degree and I am currently working on my TBE certificate. Moreover, I grew up in the Netherlands, so I am proficient and well-versed in the language. I have helped many people in the past who wanted to learn one of these languages. I study foreign languages myself too, so I know the struggles involved. Therefore, I understand the significance of being empathetic, patient & helpful. I always try to focus on freely using the language, making mistakes is a part of the learning & we will gradually deal with them. My aim is to create a safe and comfortable environment to help you learn your target language. Additionally, I will work with you to create lesson tailored to your speed & interests.

Teaching Expertise

I have been tutoring English for 5 years and Dutch for 3 years. Additionally, I stayed in China for 2 months and helped a family teach their 2 children English.

- CPE certificate, Cambridge Assessment This is the official degree of English c2 (proficiency).
