About Ladan

During my career as an educator, I have continuously challenged myself to find the most effective teaching practices and curriculum components to drive student literacy. I pioneered several teaching practices and curriculum components that proved to be highly effective in improving the ELA department’s performance. I have established performance goals for myself and other staff, as it pertained to the common core standards. I led professional development sessions for other staff members, in order to improve the understanding of common core standards, and shared best practices for student mastery. I created and utilized specific strategies, like weekly assessment tasks and individual student tracking methods, to drive instructional decisions, based on standard mastery and deficiency.
