About Yannan
Teaching English used to be tedious; however, what I believed has changed. I first started to teach English online 6 years ago. During the 7 years I have been teaching English, most of the students want to learn grammar so that they can have a good grade at school. Not only did the students’ parents think teaching English should be rule-governed, but I myself also held the same belief. Therefore, I often used the students’ native language, which is basically Mandarin Chinese, to explain everything in an explicit way. It was extremely boring for my students to learn with me. The worst part was that some young learners could not understand the rules.
