About Paula

I have been working as an English teacher in Brazil for the past 11 years, and now I teach Portuguese as a Heritage Language in London, England. I love being in contact with new cultures and teaching languages. I like to use authentic material (what is the social media and news) and to take into account the student’s cultural background and topics of interest. I love reading, swimming, cinema, animals and literature! I have a degree in Languages and Literature and Just finished my Post Graduation studies on Bilingual Education. I have experience with children, adults who studied languages for business and also as a volunteer teaching refugees who move to a different country to start a new life.

Teaching Expertise

I’ve been working as a private teacher and also at schools (elementary student). I am passionate about traveling and have lived in Brazil, The UNited States of America and now in London! I like to take into account my students cultural background and interests in order to make the lessons fun and relevant :)
