About Maia

When I start teaching Spanish or English to a new student, the first thing I do is tell them is to not think in their native language. From the first minute, we will talk, listen and think in the teaching language. With me, you will learn to speak like a real native, including all the expressions and idioms you cannot find in a textbook. You will learn to read magazines and websites, and eventually to watch series and movies without subtitles. Our lessons won’t seem like traditional learning: you are going to have fun and will be ready and waiting for your next class. - B.A. in Translation Studies focused on legal, literary and scientific-technical translation with a minor in French.
