About Elisa

I love languages and I developed my teaching skills in the past 10 years especially when doing tandems (exchange languages teachings). That type of mutual teaching gave me great flexibility and understanding of how adjusting the teaching of Italian language to different cultural context and Germanic, Slavic languages. As I am also an artist, I like to teach Italian and build up the student’s vocabulary and idiomatic expressions knowledge through the reading and studying of Italian songs, classical movies, poetry and literature. Italian is a very vivid and imaginative language, full of idioms that are hard to grasp by just knowing grammatical rules and vocabulary. I like to work out with the students how to structure their lessons.

5 years experience in international public affairs with focus on energy policy, consumer safety, international trade law and humanitarian affairs. 2 years experience as assistant to CEO at production company. 10 years experience teaching Italian while learning other languages. 3 years experience as professional fine artist with shows in Los Angeles and representation from galleries in New York and Milan, Italy.
