About Rebeca

Hello! I was born in the US, but I grew up in Brazil. I also grew up in a family of teachers, and soon after I graduated High School, I got my first teaching job. And I haven't stopped teaching ever since :) The thing about learning a new language is that it needs to be fun. Not funny "haha", but it needs to be enjoyable, and you as a student have to like coming to class. That's where I come in. I combine more traiditional methods (like grammar exercises, reading and interpretation) with more up-to-date and dynamic techniques, using novel technologies. We need to take advantage of online classes, right? At the end of the day, I'm passionate about making your learning experience special :)

Teaching Expertise

I started working as a tutor in 2013 mainly with students who were prepping for the "vestibulares" (the brazillian version of the SATs) I teach Biology, Chemistry, Portuguese and English :) In 2019, I started teaching just English at two language schools in São Carlos, SP (Genau Idiomas and Lexis English Academy). My students usually choose one of three focuses: (1) General English, (2) Business English or (3) Academi English.
