My careful preparation of lessons allowed me to break down complicated concepts to simple examples that my foreign students could grasp, which was rewarding for both my students and me.
While teaching at the Bourguiba Institute of Modern Languages in Tunis, I taught Arabic to non- native speakers. Managing the difference of abilities among my students proved a difficult, but gratifying, challenge. I tailored activities to maintain the interest of high-level students without intimidating less-skilled Arabic speakers. I contributed to the compilation of the program of teaching Arabic as a foreign language, believing that the mission of teaching cannot give good outcomes if the professors don’t update his in formations and knowledge throw research.
I use modern technologies (videos, audio)
When I start teaching Arabic to new students, I ask them to try as much as possible to express their thoughts in Arabic, and reply less on English. From the first minute, we will talk in Arabic, and use expressions in Arabic that count, after we listen to each other, and talk freely. We will review together the manner we read magazines, newspapers, and our learning together will not be traditional at all. We will talk to each other the non-traditional way, and you will be mentored to build your approach in speaking in Arabic, because their a slang language and the proper academic one as well.
