Hi! My name is Imam Daniel, you can call me Daniel as well. I have experience as a history tutor for 3 years in Indonesian and English (IGCSE Curriculum). With this experiece, I also can teach you in Indonesian and will teach you about the diversity of culture in Indonesia. Firstly first, I highly recommend you to forget about using any language you speak right now. We'll all talk, listen, & think in English/Indonesian (depends on which one you're learning). Because learning language isn't just about vocab/grammar, it is also about the way of thinking. You'll learn to read articles, websites (if you prefer), or anything interests you. Plus watching English/Indonesian-speaking series/movies! I teach Indonesian to foreigners whether they are new or have studied Indonesian language. In class I will use the introduction in Indonesian without using English so that they can interpret without translating what is meant in simple and easy conversations how Indonesians speak everyday. In Indonesia, there are many local dialects of language, I live in Jakarta with a background of growing up in Bandung with Sundanese but I was born Javanese and I have also worked in Bali, this is an added value besides learning Indonesian language I will teach Indonesian culture. I hope that anyone who wants to learn Indonesian with me is happy and has Indonesia language progress quickly.

When I start teaching to foreign students in my country. I could see the bright eyes welcome me. Because they know, after meeting me they will be a great native speaker. I started teaching Bahasa for foreign exchange students in 2018 when I worked as a research and teaching assistant for my lecturer. The foreign exchange students were from Dutch and Gambia. At first, I spoke English to them, because I think that they will not understand at all if I use Bahasa. But then, I got used to them speaking Bahasa during the class. Though they spoke haltingly and often mix it up with English words, I always help them spell the words and construct the sentences. Slowly, they can speak for daily conversation well with simple words and sentences. The lesson I taught back then was about daily conversation and basic vocabulary (greetings, time, directions, numbers, etc). I organize the learning materials based on the standard syllabus and the levels of learning.

Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian language) is easy. I use an interesting learning method that will never make you bored. The method will include a formal and non-formal language, singing, pictures, movies, etc. You’ll be able to start your simple daily conversation in only after 10 hours learning session.
