I have been teaching English for over 21 years now. I first taught in China in 2001 and since then I have taught in Beijing, Taiyuan, Tianjin, and Shanghai. I specialize teaching Academic Research Writing and Business Communication Skills to different nationalities including native English speakers. I also have an extensive experience in teaching General English to different levels and different age groups. I have taught EAP for university students, ESP for an Engineering firm, IELTS review for students who are going to study overseas, and Speaking Class for those who want to communicate confidently in their every day life. I am a certified American TESOL Teacher Trainer and TESOL Teacher. I am adept at customizing teaching materials to suit the needs of every language learner.

I'm a native Brazilian teacher, with 3 degrees in Language studies. I'm outgoing and love to bond as a friend to my students (whenever possible), which makes the experience of teaching/learning even more exciting and natural with time. I usually like to talk about different cultures and how enriching it can be as we learn a new language. Material I use is as diverse as students' needs, from general conversation classes to specific purposes. I've lived abroad for almost 5 years, an experience that gave me a lot of think-out-of-your-comfort-zone behavior. I have been there! believe me I know how it feels to start to learn Spanish or English, but I learned to move on and become a near native speaker of Spanish and English and then learnt how to teach them. I enjoy my classes and try to make it enjoyable for my students because I believe you do better when you like it! I have always been passionate about the Greek language, both ancient and modern. During my studies and early work experience, I realized that teaching Greek to non-native speakers would be the most fascinating challenge for me: I believe that language is the key to not only the culture of a country but also the hearts and minds of people. I’ve now been a Greek teacher for several years and I love it! In my classroom, in addition to syntax and grammar, we discuss the current situation in the Greek world, my and your experiences of Greece, the food, songs, movies, and a lot more. I am a native Greek speaker who moved to the Netherlands in 2017 to pursue postgraduate studies in Linguistics. I have worked as a Greek teacher since 2016.
