I love teaching students! I am used to teaching young children English so I have an endless amount of patience as I am even trying to learn new languages myself! I studied multiple subjects in college so I love talking about anything & everything! I have lived in several different regions of the United States and have worked many different types of jobs! I have worked in College Athletics, at Disneyworld, and at a Preschool. I grew up on farm in Northern California. I recently moved from my small town to the big city of Chicago, IL! My main focus is to get to know the student. I like to know about them and what they are interested in learning so that we can focus on that area. I've taught students from beginners to advanced and from general conversation to business terminology. I've taught since I was in elementary school, when my teachers let me merge three classrooms for one massive drawing lesson! As a teenager, telling of this experience afforded me the opportunity to spend volunteer time at the local elementary school where I taught 3rd-5th graders for three years in a row. Now, as an adult, the urge to teach is still a part of me as teaching English, grammar, reading, writing and SAT-prep became my job! Currently, the pandemic has made things are different as we all know. Surprisingly though, it's actually expanded my student base, as the digital realm of teaching has brought me students from all over the world! Throughout the years, I have gained experience in various roles such as being an Assistant Editor for a magazine publishing company, Del Val Media, based in South Jersey. As well as being the supervisor/healthcare director for an after school program/summer camp, Woodstown-Pilesgrove SACC, where I was in charge of all communications, marketing, teaching and administrative work.
