Hi beautiful people, My name is Nan! I am a big language lover and experienced language tutor. I have received 5 years' training to be a qualified language teacher/trainer/tutor for second language learners. And then I became a Mandarin tutor in the United Kingdom for four years, and I was a high school English teacher in my hometown for a year. I have a strong passion for teaching and communicating with those who are interested in learning Chinese/Mandarin. My teaching style tends to be tailor-made. According to your learning purpose, current level, and interests, I would choose the adapted teaching materials and activities for you. Hope you will have a happy and productive learning journey with me. I look forward to seeing you! Have a lovely day! Best regards, Nancy
I am a lawyer by training and teacher by training. I am also an entrepreneur. During the first class I will find out what your interests are and then build a curriculum based on your interests and goals. I find that students learn quicker when they are interested in the subject mater.
I am passionate about teaching and learning and strive to help students find confidence in all of their educational endeavors. I have worked with students who find math challenging as well as students who want enrichment in math or elementary Spanish. I have privately tutored more than 10 yrs and have been in education over 20. I taught 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th grade. (Not in that order) I became a math coach in Corpus Christi before moving to San Antonio where I work at a district level as an Instructional Support Teacher. I provide professional development, model lessons, and write curriculum and assessments to help teachers be the best that they can be in thriving for student success for all their students.
After spending 17 years working in international education administration and ESL teaching, I am starting my independent teaching career. Education careers are interesting; they never seem to go as planned! I began my professional life as a radio DJ but found it less interesting than I had hoped. While spending a semester abroad studying in France, I learned that the world was a huge place full of interesting people. I wanted to go, to see, to meet people, and to experience life. So, I took a chance on a job in China. I planned to stay one year but loved it so much I stayed for five and a half! My life and career have been an amazing journey learning from exceptional colleagues around the world. Now, I am here to teach you!
When we have classes, we will use the target language as much possible, in order to give you the most exposure. We will use authentic materials and videos and I will correct your pronunciation and grammar. We will even work on accent reduction. Though I am not a native Spanish speaker, I learned it from the ground up in the US and Spain and know how difficult it can be. But no need to worry! I'll be with you every step of the way. I have taught many students who improved tremendously in the target language, and so will you! Feel free to book a trial lesson and let's get started.
Hello! My name is Mr. Middleton! I have taught fifth and sixth grade language arts for 22 years. I have a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and a principal’s license. I’m a huge sports fan, and I’ve also been a basketball and softball coach. I have three daughters, so I can relate to students very easily. I like to be silly, have fun and learn all at once. I’m much more suited for older students. I look forward to helping you reach your goals and potential!
Hello! I am an experienced English teacher and I would like to meet you! I strive to make all of my lessons not only educational, but also FUN! Learning English is easier and more fun using games, videos, and online sources, including current events. My students have expressed how easily they can understand and learn from me, and how my lessons are enjoyable so learning another language doesn't feel like work. Let's have FUN with English!
During the first lesson, we will discuss your English goals.
Here is a review from a former student:
"I could feel easy [wasn't nervous] to take her lessons since she praised me greatly when my answer was correct, and also taught me in an easy-to-understand way until I got the answer when my answer was not correct." - (Japanese University student)
Choosing me as your English teacher will be the best decision you ever make because you will have a fantastic English speaking environment. You will be able to listen, speak, read and write English as native speakers. I am going to be a dedicated, fun, and student-focused teacher that will always help you to use English in a correct way. I will facilitate complex grammar rules and reading long texts through using different tasks and activities to cope with all levels of students. Low achievers or weak English students will never be left behind because I prepared a remedial plan to help them improve their skills.
Hello potential students, my name is Casey Morgan and you have come to the perfect person to help your English skills to the next level. I have taught English as a second language for over a decade now, in the US as well as South Korea (9 years). One of the problems with mot English classes is that they focus too much on vocabulary and grammar. You can do this on your own time, without assistance from me as your teacher. Students need to learn a language better by focusing on communication skills, rather than grammatical skills. You could know all the grammar and still be a terrible communicator. There are 3 essential ways to continually grow in your English communication skills that we will constantly practice and learn through an innovative way of assessment I have developed.
I can teach technical vocabulary for tourism and hotel management. Grammar, vocabulary, but specially conversational classes, I can help people improve their oral Spanish, English or Basque. I can help with any homework in Spanish English or Basque. I will help students improve their pronunciation and way of expressing while talking in these languages. I can also correct homework (reading, writing, oral presentations...) for Spanish classes or help people preparing their Spanish exams, as well as Basque exams or classes. I can also ask you to do some homework for my classes, such as, writings and oral presentations that I will correct for you and tell you about your mistakes.
In my past experiences teaching French, I always gave the freedom to ask whatever questions that come to mind at any time during the lesson. It gives them the ability to express their opinion about a certain topic or become eager to know why something is taught the way it is. In my lessons, I make sure that each student fully understands the reasoning behind every explanation by taking step-by-step instructions. I believe that it is extremely important to make mistakes so that one can learn from their own and from others. I always look forward to my lessons and love seeing my students learn!
