If you want to learn a language, you have to live with it. Love in it, hate in it, laugh in it, cry in it, think in it and so on. To do that, you don't have to know thousands of words. As a little kid you knew very few of them, still, you were a native speaker. A couple of hundreds will be enough, at first. You don't have to be an expert in grammar when starting too. You're going to make mistakes, many of them, and that's how it should be. Don't be ashamed of what is natural. Mistakes are our greatest teachers. You should speak and keep speaking no matter what. And you'll be making progress day by day.
I know loads of approaches to teaching English, I've even created my own.

When I start teaching Russian/English to a new student, the first step is to understand the level of your knowledge and what you want to achieve. This may include basic terms and phrases to help you to travel through the country, or more advanced learning to achieve full proficiency in Russian/English. I believe in a less formal teaching style which uses everyday conversations and scenarios to build knowledge in the language. In my own experience of learning English and Mandarin I found this fun and relaxed approach is the best way to absorb the languages as quickly as possible. If you are serious about wanting to learn some Russian/English, book a free trial with me and let's get you some mad language skills! До встречи!

Hello everyone! 🤗🙋🎉
My name is Moshe and during my naive young years I was so fond of languages and translating, that I decided to get a degree in it 🤭.
Well, I had to change a few vectors in life (↗️➡️↘️⬆️⬇️⤴️⤵️), but my passion for how it sounds and what does it mean (and most importantly WHY, WHY and WHY 🤪😜🧐😲🤷 does it sounds and means this way) never disappeared and I decided to make it my superpower skill and become a freelance teacher! 🤠👩🏫
I specialise in Russian 🇷🇺, Ukrainian🇺🇦 and Polish🇵🇱 that are from the Slavic family of languages.
In my lessons I mainly play a foreigner 👩✈️that doesn't speak my clients language, stimulating the students to find out what the hell I was saying through mimics😜, body language🕺, images in addition to common teaching tools!
Straight from college I was offered a position a position at the Modern Languages Department.
So I started my career as a language teacher. I also did some freelance translation, including fiction translation. For some time I worked as a full time translator in an international trading company in Moscow. Some of the expats I used to work with asked me about Russian language classes and that were my first steps in teaching Russia as a foreign language.
Then in Pushkin Institute I got some a course in methodology of foreign language teaching.
For some time I worked in Finland where I taught Russian for foreigners.
I have developed a remote course in teaching methodology for Russian Center of Moscow State University and I still teach there part-time.
I have ample experience in teaching English, Russian, and French, profound content knowledge of grammar, and expertise in creating practice materials. Using multi-media is my visiting card because they aid me to create an engaging and fun environment.
What always helped me in my work was my special sensitivity and respect for other cultures based on my extensive studies of world art, film, literature, and my cosmopolitan perspective as a world traveler.
Здравствуйте, меня зовут Николас! That means "Hello, my name is Nicholas!" If the Cyrillic alphabet looks challenging, don't be discouraged! The first step to learning Russian is learning how to read the Cyrillic alphabet, so that's where we'll begin. It's easier than it looks, because Russian has many of the same sounds as English. In fact, Russian is a distant relative of English, German, Spanish, French and many other languages!
We'll also learn the basics of Russian culture. To get a head start, I'll help you choose a Russian name to use in class, something we did in my university Russian 101 class. Then we'll start with basic phrases, and learn vocabulary and grammar as we go along.
I promise you won't regret learning the incredibly beautiful and useful Russian language!
