Based on my own experience when I was learning English, I’m 100% convinced that 1 on 1 conversation is the key to learn a language. We can discuss various topics based on your interests and current needs. Don’t expect endless boring grammar exercises.
Dobrý den,
my name is Marcela and I am a native Czech speaker.
In the past I mainly worked as an English/Czech interpreter but 4 years ago I decided to teach my mother tongue too. I think teaching/tutoring is the best job on this planet and that's what I would like to focus on in the future.
Typically I introduce new grammar every lesson and also expand your vocabulary - my students can choose a topic they would like to do - it can be Travel, Parts of the body, Names of countries, Food and drink, Eating out, At the bank, Business Czech, Emergencies etc. A game of 'word football' is always good if you are in no mood for grammar.
I gently correct my student's mistakes as the lesson progresses as it's a very effective way of learning a language.
I am hoping to see you at the lesson.
I am medical doctor graduated from Czech republic. Studing medicine in Czech means that my Zech should be above avarage of any Czech speaking person. Medicine is very difficult study. I have to communicate with Czechs from different educations' levels.
Conversation is very suitable for me.
I am conducting research in Canada.
Looking forwarde to start as soon as possible.
I teach Slovakian, English and Czech. I have many experiences with translating texts from Slovak and Czech into English as well as from English into Slovak or Czech. I have experiences with face-to-face translations as well. I am focusing mainly on conversations. The most difficult part for new learners is to connect their thoughts with their mouths. Many times we want to say more sentences in a foreign language but we are not able to do it because we are shy or not used to speaking. I use Michel Thomas's approach which means NO memorising and SPEAKING and SPEAKING.
I was born in the Czech Republic, currently living in London. I spent most of my career in IT industry though have been a freelance teacher in the past - teaching both kids and adults Czech and English.
Happy to help you learn Czech - for personal as well as business purposes. Happy to offer a trial lesson to get to know each other, align on expectations etc.
