When I start teaching Swahili to a new student, the first thing I do is tell them to forget about using English. From there onwards we will talk, listen, and think in Swahili. With me, you will learn not just the basics of speaking Swahili, I will put the Swahili nativity in you. Forget the common traditional ways of learning a language, I've developed teaching techniques to help you learn Swahili easier from a beginner to an intermediate/native speaker in a short period of time. With me, You will learn to read magazines and websites, and eventually to watch Swahili-speaking series, dramas, and movies. Book a trial session to try a lesson before you can fully commit. Njoo tuzungumze Kiswahili!
My responsibility as a language teacher is to broaden my students’ worlds each day through communicative language teaching. In a more globally focused society, it is crucial to be able to communicate in another language, especially cross-culturally. In order to engage and motivate the students I try to incorporate various types of media such as music, film and literature. The four skills of reading, speaking, writing and listening can all be stimulated by using media in the classroom. Using media from the target culture, students work with authentic materials that offer a realistic insight into the target language and culture. As a language teacher I am not just responsible for teaching students about reading, writing, speaking and listening, but also the target culture.
Learning any language is simple according to a teacher's teaching styles. When we start, learning a specific language, we will use it for all daily ACTIVITIES; speaking ,thinking and reading. we will not learn using the traditional methods of teaching, but using the modern methods. Lets have some fun.
