When I start teaching Swahili to a new student, the first thing I do is tell them to place aside the native language as this can’t evaporate. From the first minute, we will talk, listen, and think in Swahili. With me, you will learn to speak Swahili like a real native, including all expressions that you cannot find in a textbook. You will learn to read magazines and websites, and eventually watch Swahili-speaking series and movies. Our lessons won’t seem like traditional learning: you are going to have fun and will be ready and waiting for your next class. Book a trial lesson to try a lesson before you commit, and begin your transformation into a native Swahili speaker!
When I start teaching you for the first time, I am interested in knowing you as a person. I want to have interactive sessions with you to make it easier to express yourself. That's how you end up speaking swahili like a native. Let's learn and be friends too

Learning a second, third or even forth language may seem like a nightmare at first, but with the right attitude, its just as simple as leaning the alphabets. When we begin our lesson, the first things to learn will be fun and easy and progress with more complex with time. I can structure our lessons to suit your needs and urgency. For instance, travel enthusiasts will learn basic communication while work related needs will be structured to suit the local community needs. Our class will be fun!!

My name is Fredsinbad Kimathi and I'm a freelance teacher. I believe the easiest way of learning a language is through conversation. How do I know this? That's how I knew how to speak English and Italian... Now, i basically teach Swahili and a English in a very fun and simple way.. We can start by going at a baby step speed or as professional learners but the end goal is to make sure you know and master the language...

In my case, when I shall start teaching kiswahili I will have to use the Google meet ,zoom, Microsoft teams as a channel or medium of teaching or interacting with my students. For successful learning to take place I have to use videos so that I can fully explain to my students so as to understand some words in kiswahili. At the end of each lesson I will involve my students in a continuous ascent assessment test to test their ability of understanding the new language. As Time goes by I will organise a group of students in my class to have discussions in the new language I hope this will be very special to them.
