I consider myself a person that gets things done and my track record has shown this to be true. Before leaving Colombia and moving to the UK, I decided that I was ready to come back to teaching not only because it’s what I love doing but I felt that in my previous position as state coordinator for bilingualism I had gained the necessary skills to go beyond just being a good teacher in terms of being a subject expert but by becoming a more holistic teacher i.e. one that focuses on the development of a broader set of competencies that empower the student to become an independent learner. I have successfully prepared students for the National University entrance interview and exams in Colombia as well as having helped in-service teachers apply for (and win) international scholarships.
I am Esther Giovanna from Peru. I am a translator in Spanish, French and English. I am currently learning tagalog. Likewise, I have a Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Interpreting, and a Specialization Diploma for Spanish Teaching. I have 4 years experience in translation and 2 year experience as freelance teacher for high school students and adults. On my Spanish classes, the main purpose is that the student learns how to communicate and express in Spanish. From the beginning, you will be in contact with only Spanish to start getting used to it. Besides, you will learn how to read texts such as magazines, articles, etc., have conversations, learn expressions from Latin America and Spain, learn about the culture, grammar and so on. Book my class to learn Spanish in a fun and easy way.
Hi guys, I'm Elisaul, a teacher eager to teach you everything I know through these very fun lessons that you will love, I usually work with conversations to improve fluency and then I work with material such as lessons, audiovisual material, exercises, choose me and you will not regret it!
From the first minute we only use Spanish. My classes are participatory. We will talk about traditions, watch movies and listen to music. Learning Spanish is fun, don't hesitate!
When I start teaching any language to a new student, the first thing I do is tell them to keep an open mind. From the first minute, we will talk, listen and think in the language you are learning. You will learn to speak Spanish like a native, including expressions that Spanish people use to use in their everyday life. I will show you some of the best works of Spanish culture. And you will learn, at the same time, the culture and the language of Spain. Book a trial lesson before any commitment.
I am a thoughtful and considerate as well as consistent language teacher. I would learn a student's needs and existing language skills to develop a package that works well for both of us! I don't know why I seem to have retained my language skills, despite my now disability (acute multiple sclerosis), but I have, I guess I am just a good talker!
Hi there! My name is Alejandra.
I was born and raised in Medellin, Colombia where I worked as a teacher specialising in Spanish and primary teaching.
I’m now living in the UK with family and I am available to help students wishing to learn and improve their Spanish.
Being a native speaker enables me to help students achieve their goals in a comfortable environment and give them the skills and confidence to speak fluently in real world situations.
My back ground in teaching also gives me the professional skills and experience to provide a structured program of learning for students with both short and long term goals.
Taught IB business classes for high school students Prepared lesson plans and materials for IB DP curriculum Trained new teachers to tutor the IB courses Identified and modified resources to meet student's diverse needs and integrated worksheets to vary lessons Conversations classes to help to improve Spanish language
I have been there! believe me I know how it feels to start to learn Spanish or English, but I learned to move on and become a near native speaker of Spanish and English and then learnt how to teach them. I enjoy my classes and try to make it enjoyable for my students because I believe you do better when you like it! I usually use natural methods of learning a language while planning my classes, and I know by science and experience that its the best way to learn a language. Best of luck!
Hola! My name is R. Paola, I'm a native Spanish speaker, I was born in Peru and I have been living in U. S. for 15 years. I have a BA in Education and I was a high school teacher for 7 + years, later on I became a Montessori Early childhood and Elementary educator. At the school I work I developed the Spanish curriculum for primary and elementary levels.
I am passionate about languages and cultures. That's why I decided to teach Spanish. I believe that teaching a language should be a great experience, fun and educational. I incorporate to my class songs, books, a lot of Montessori Spanish materials, conversation, vocabulary, reading and writing and more. The teaching method depends on the student's needs and what fits better to each person.
Buena Suerte!

I like to tailor my lessons according to the students' need; every student learns in a different style and at a different pace. I will assess your level and interests and together will make a plan to achieve your expectations.
For younger children, I can include props and playful techniques in my sessions to make learning fun.
I started tutoring while I was a full time mum, before I was working in big international Companies in presale and customer service.
I have a degree in Modern Languages and over 10 years of teaching.
I love teaching languages, a foreign language is beneficial not only for communicating but also you will learn the culture and traditions.
Learning a foreign language is also good for your brain because improves people's thinking skills and memory abilities.
Learning in your own language at the EARLY stages of taking in new concepts is key. That is why I combine Spanish with the mother tongue of the learner so it can be easier and more productive. I fully understand the frustration one can feel when trying to learn difficult concepts, that's why the lessons must be interactive and fun. This is a process the student must enjoy, otherwise, what is the point?! The lessons mix culture and language, as well as dialects and linguistic concepts so that students can develop their interest and their abilities to learn any language. I love interacting and having fun Helping people is a drive in my life.I'm also very determined and motivated and want to reflect that in everything I do. Spanish is a challenge, but it is worth trying! Vamos a por ello!
