I have a BA in Education and I was a high school teacher for 7 + years, later on I became a Montessori Early childhood and Elementary educator. At the school I work I developed the Spanish curriculum for primary and elementary levels. I am passionate about languages and cultures. That's why I decided to teach Spanish. I believe that teaching a language should be a great experience, fun and educational. I incorporate to my class songs, books, a lot of Montessori Spanish materials, conversation, vocabulary, reading and writing and more. For younger children, I can include props and playful techniques in my sessions to make learning fun. I started tutoring while I was a full time mum, before I was working in big international Companies in presale and customer service. I have a degree in Modern Languages and over 10 years of teaching. I love teaching languages, a foreign language is beneficial not only for communicating but also you will learn the culture and traditions. Playing is very important to practice and learn faster. Another strategy I use is to create experiences with daily life situations. When doing so I also listen to the student's suggestions to make sure their goals are met. I use my own materials in combination with the materials provided by the students' course if they are following one. My lessons are suitable for all members of the public, from eleven years onwards. I also have experience teaching GCSE, IGCSE, A levels, University' students and Business Spanish for companies. I can focus mainly on conversation if a student wishes to take this approach but when preparing for exams I make sure that we cover their grammar and vocabulary objectives they are set to learn.
