Hi, I'm a passionate linguist who loves to share my knowledge with the world. I have been teaching French and English to students in Albania since past 3 years and I design my curriculum based on my students' requirements. I focus on all the 4 pillars of language acquisition: Speaking, Listening, Reading, & Writing. Learning a new language is a journey that begins with an open heart and mind. It is not only about constructing sentences but also about embracing a new culture and it's history. Using a student centered approach, I create sessions that are fun and informative wherein I cover grammar, communication as well as cultural interactions. So if you wish to interact in French and / or in English like a native speaker, book a trial session fast .
As a experienced teacher in Swedish language I can give you an opportunity to approach a new unknowing world. I attempt to teach students like a journey in a new country where you can discover astonishing things.
I have got a bachelor's and master's degree in English, Translation and Interpreting major, and I have worked as a freelance translator providing translations from Albanian to English and vice versa and from Italian to English and vice versa. I have translated material concerning different subjects like medicine, law, business, etc. and I have been well-reviewed. I have also worked as an English teacher providing English tutoring for learners of English as a second language. I have provided IELTS, SAT, TOEFL, TOEIC, ECCE classes and I have also worked with express publishing methods for different levels for 8 years. I have also taught the Albanian language to foreign students.
For a few years now I have also been engaged in editing, proofreading, and content writing.
Teaching a foreign language allows students to communicate beyond traditional borders, expanding their horizons, whether it be with another community in their own country or outside of their country.
As a teacher I listen to what the students want, but also make sure students are aware of what their own needs and goals are and how to achieve them. As a teacher, I keep exploring different methods of teaching. Students have different personalities, with own characteristics (needs, interests, aspirations, learning styles, types of intelligence, previous experiences and knowledge, etc); that is where I always facilitate the teaching learning process giving each of them the opportunity of learning, giving special attention to this diversity of students.
I have a strong command of both English and Albanian not only through having lived, worked and been educated in both countries, but also through two decades of working in teaching and translations. Having worked around children for most of my career has made me appreciate the perspective of a learner and the steps and patience needed to convey new knowledge and simplify and adjust language as necessary.
