Since 2009, I've been engaged in the field of education and I've got certified to teach Korean. I have plenty of experience teaching Korean to students in several different countries, regardless of age groups, nationalities, backgrounds. I am currently based in Berlin, as a professional Korean teacher, teaching students from all over the world! :)
I cover all the 4 language functions(speaking, listening, reading & writing) based on vocabulary and grammar from the very beginning level. Since more than 70% of Korean language comes from Chinese, I also teach Chinese meaning for the adopted Korean language at the same time for students' long-term memorization. Also, I introduce Korean or Chinese cultural phenomena, history, and national principles as a language background when necessary.
For the lesson materials, I use my own and send each one via email to a given student before the lesson. They are based on Yonsei Korean series and I've enriched and updated them through various sources.
For the class activities, I use a role-play, game, & free discussion on the related topic.
After each lesson, I provide homework and feedback.
Hello! I am currently a graduate student studying in school counseling. I know learning a different language can be very difficult and I want to help you guys to learn Korean in a fun and easy way! I can teach from basics such as the alphabets to more advanced level such as grammar and speaking. I enjoy watching passionate students slowly becoming fluent in Korean and I want to be a part of your journey. Let's go on this adventure together!
Most of you learn Korean from the Korean Series. However, no matter how many Korean Series you watch after a while, you will not put anything new in your language box. I have learned many languages, Dutch, Arabic, English, etc. I can assure you that Korean is the funniest one of all languages. If you are interested in Korean, you're most probably familiar with King Sejong. He is a brilliant king who created this language for his people. SO learning this language is easier than you think. However, learning a language does not only consist of memorizing vocabulary and learning tenses. When you learn Korean from me, we will talk about a lot of interesting cultural, and historical elements of Korean people. Be ready to be amazed :)
I am a highly motivated person with an international background in search for meaningful and challenging work. I am always fascinated in working for a cultural and language education sector as it is the most significant job to have because accepting new cultures and norms of various people and also it can expand their thoughts and idea in different ways to help people to understand others better. Recently, Korean culture (i.e K-pop, films and concerts etc.,) has been remarkably become popular. Teaching Korean is crucial for the people who do fancy on Korean culture. I hope people could enjoy Korean cultural contents more and be able to speak Korean. I will teach you Korean language as well as Korean culture. If there is anything you want to know? Please give me a shout : )

The Korean Language can be challenging, but with the right teacher, it can be a fun and easy experience. When I started teaching Korean instead of translating into English, I use actions and speak to my students in Korean as much as possible. With me, you will learn not only Korean academically, but I will also teach fun slang and cool expressions that only native people know. You will be able to learn to read magazines, websites, and depending on your level, have the ability to watch Korean dramas without subtitles! Our lessons are not traditional, we use the Powerpoints just as a guide and then do our own fun activities. It will feel like you're learning from a friend rather than a teacher, I promise :) Begin a trial lesson with me and begin your journey to becoming a Korean master!
I provide tailor-made lessons with my own materials and resources, depending on each student's level and need. I sometimes provide university press language books from Korea for students who wish to learn Korean at a higher level. It all depends on each student. I am flexible and open-minded. I use various different materials to make my class more engaging and fun. I also send you materials and homework on a weekly basis so you never miss out on anything you learned in the lesson.
